Defining the Future of My NH Photography Business
As I look ahead to 2026, I feel more focused than I have in years. The changes made in 2025 created a foundation, and now the goal is to build on it intentionally. As a New Hampshire photographer working in New England and the Great North Woods, my priorities are shifting toward sustainability, depth, and long-term vision.

Expanding Commercial, Brand & Stock Photography in New England
One of my primary goals for 2026 is to continue growing my brand photography, commercial photography & stock photography work throughout NH and New England, which I offer through my business SunnValley LLC. This type of photography allows me to combine storytelling, strategy, and visual consistency for businesses that value professional imagery.
I plan to refine my offerings, streamline my process, and work with clients who understand the long-term value of strong visuals. Headshots will remain part of my services, and I may continue offering senior portraits during the week when it makes sense.
Real Estate Photography and Investing in the Right Gear
Real estate photography is an area I want to explore more seriously in 2026. This interest is directly influencing my gear choices. I purchased a telephoto lens last year and a wide-angle lens this year, and I have a drone. My next major purchase will likely be an ultra-wide lens, even though I’ve been saving slowly toward it.
Beyond that, I plan to invest in a better tripod, a new camera carrying case, filters, and possibly a macro lens. These tools support both commercial work and creative exploration, which is important to me as a photographer.
Continuing Wildlife and Landscape Photography in the Great North Woods & Beyond
Wildlife photography will remain a personal focus in 2026. I know it takes time, consistency, and patience. I expect more mornings, more quiet waiting, and more unsuccessful outings before things click.
I want to continue learning how animals behave across seasons in the Great North Woods of NH and how light changes throughout the year. Landscape photography will continue alongside this and I hope to be able to do more traveling in 2026.
Teaching, Mentoring, and Community Involvement
In February 2026, I’ll be teaching a photography workshop for FHN. This feels like an important step toward offering education and mentorship in a way that feels grounded and practical.
I don’t want to be a loud online educator. Instead, I want to help photographers understand how to build sustainable businesses, especially in smaller New England markets where relationships matter more than algorithms.
Art Shows and Selling Work in Person as an NH Photographer

I’m scheduled to participate in an art show at the Tillotson Center in September 2026. This experience will help shape a larger long-term goal that became very clear to me this year.
I want my own office and gallery space.
A place where I can meet with clients, display my work, and sell prints in person. A quiet, intentional space that reflects my style as a New Hampshire photographer and allows people to connect with the work beyond a screen.
A Clearer, More Sustainable Vision for 2026
My main line of work remains web design at my core business SunnValley LLC, and that isn’t changing. Photography isn’t something I’m stepping away from, but rather something I want to work alongside my web design business. Through stock photography and visual storytelling, my goal is to help support travel and tourism in the U.S., with a strong focus on New England and the Great North Woods Region.
I don’t expect 2026 to be perfect or predictable. What I do expect is continued clarity, fewer distractions, and more intentional work. I want photography to support my life rather than consume it.
As an NH photographer rooted in New England and the Great North Woods, my goal for 2026 is simple: do meaningful work, create space for growth, and build something that lasts.
